Jude: Contending for the Faith

by New Life Pastors

Jude, the brother of James and Jesus, had a plan to write to believers to encourage them in the common salvation they shared. However, it was made clear to him that a defense of the faith was more important. Jude immediately states his purpose, to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. Jude emphasizes the fact that “the faith” is not a subjective or malleable idea. Instead, it is an objective set of beliefs that is unchanging in its nature.

In this study we will explore what it means to defend our faith from those who would seek to change the foundational beliefs of Christianity. Also, we will be encouraged to persevere in our faith through the trials that this world will throw at us. Finally, we will be reminded that Jesus is our faithful savior who provides all that we need to one day stand blameless in praise before God.
