Praying for Pastor Glenn
Pastor Glenn will be taking an 8-week sabbatical August 31 - October 26. We’d like to commit to covering Glenn and Julie in prayer during this time. Would you be willing to sign up for a day to pray? Or maybe more than one day?!?
Pastor Glenn's Prayer Requests for his time on Sabbatical:
To unplug from everyday ministry stresses. To have my mind and emotions re-set as I learn to "cast my cares on Him" and know what it means to have the One Who is "Gentle and Lowly" bear my burdens and care for me as only He can.
For Julie and I to grow closer to each other and enjoy having unhurried and uninterrupted time together. That our marriage would thrive!
That His Word would come alive as the Holy Spirit uses it to give me encouragement and instruction.
That as I pray, I would have a clear sense of God's direction for the next season of ministry.
That all of the blessings of Psalm 23 would be experienced! That The Great Shepherd would "make me to lie down in green pastures and lead me besides still waters and restore my soul". All this for His Glory and my Good!
Prayer Chain
Praises and requests from our church body are submitted to the office and distributed by email to this group of prayer warriors. To submit a prayer request you can use the Connection Cards on Sunday morning, call the church office (886-1977), or send an email to sherryd@newlifeefree.org.
If you are a member or regular attender of New Life Church and are willing to commit to bringing these needs and praises before the Lord we invite you to be added to our distribution list.
Pre-Service Prayer
Meet with others to cover our Sunday Morning Ministries in prayer from 8:00-8:25am in Room 209.
Prayer Gatherings
Scripture is so clear that prayer is the very life blood of the local church. We meet for prayer a few times a month on Sunday evenings. The Prayer Gatherings will go from 6-7 pm and we will meet in the sanctuary of the church. There will also be some worship through song and a time for personal testimonies regarding the ways that God is answering our prayers. Commitment to prayer is critical if we hope to see the Holy Spirit at work in our church and the counties all around us.
