Adult Sunday School Class

Church History, it's not about names, dates and facts. It's about the flesh and blood people of God, those who are members of our spiritual "family tree." It's a fascinating journey, telling the story of how God has preserved His church from the time the Apostles handed off the baton at the close of Acts 28 to the present.
Come with us as we travel through time and discover how, through the ups and downs, and the challenges and triumphs of life, Christ's Church has prevailed and overcome through the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimonies.
This will be a fun and informative study, one that raises our vision of God and teaches us what faithfulness to God really looks like. Join us on Sunday mornings and get introduced to some of the family members you didn't know you had!
Children’s Ministry Serving Opportunities
Awana, Club 56 and Sunday school will all begin in early September and to make those happen, we need those of you, with a heart for children and their families, to serve. There is also a need to grow our New Life Nursery team along with our Children’s Church teaching team. These 2 ministries run year-round.
We hope that you will prayerfully consider being a part of our Children’s Ministry Teams. You can read more about them and sign up to serve on our website or you can contact Janet Stee for more information (janets@newlifeefree.org or 886-1977).

Women’s Revelation Bible Study
New Women’s Bible Study
Revelation: Eternal King, Everlasting Kingdom, by Jen Wilkin
Tues mornings | 5:45am | at New Life | beginning Sept 24
Contact Sarah Taylor (605-651-3838)
Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as the very last one. The book of Revelation overflows with images and ideas that confound our modern ears. But if all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible. Why don’t we see it that way?
Two thousand years ago, John’s Revelation was circulated and read aloud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter understood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for you today. Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse Bible study, Jen Wilkin helps you discover how the last book of the Bible—the culmination of God's great story—speaks both a steadying word of assurance and a strong call to endure to the church in every age.
Men’s Bible Study Breakfast
Tuesday Mornings, October 1-22, 6-7:30am
A full hot breakfast will be provided along with study material.
Topic: Hacking Agag to Pieces (taken from 1 Samuel 15)
Every honest Christian man will testify that the tendency to sin is not erased by becoming a believer. The truth is, we still sin daily. So how can we put to death sin and its influence — as we know we must?
The famous Puritan Preacher John Owen is famously quoted as saying, “Do you mortify sin; do you make it your daily work; be always at it whilst you live; cease not a day from this work; BE KILLING SIN OR IT WILL BE KILLING YOU.”
Mark your calendars and make plans to join the men of New Life as we dig into God’s Word together and encourage each other as we fight the good fight of faith!
Use the button below to let us know you’re coming so we can make sure to have enough breakfast for everyone! (You can also sign up at the Info Center or by calling the church office - 886-1977)
Dinners at Home
Dinners at Home is a way to fellowship with our church friends and newcomers. We recently had successful dinners on August 17. We are scheduling the next dinners for Saturday, October 26. Please mark your calendars and plan to participate!
We are asking several of you to take a step towards hospitality, something talked about a lot in the Bible, by signing up to host a meal at your house.
We will ask others to sign up to attend a meal. When everyone has been added to a group, we’ll get a list to each host. Each host/hostess contacts guests so that everyone attending can bring something for the meal. It’s really an easy and effective way to meet new people and make them feel welcome. Let’s open our hearts and homes and PRACTICE HOSPITALITY!
Marie Waterworth will be in the foyer taking sign-ups when we get closer to the date. For now just mark your calendars - you won’t want to miss this.
Do you have extra Bibles at home?
A member of our community is collecting Bibles to send overseas. If you have used Bibles that you would like to donate, you can place them in the box near the office door.
Upcoming Short-Term Missions Trips
Steve Austvold is leading an upcoming missions trip. Teams would be partnering with the EFCA Crisis Response program and working with other EFCA churches to serve communities that have been affected by natural disasters. The button below will give you more details. If you are interested in serving, let us know. We have a few people from New Life that are interested and may want to travel together.
Each month, we will be highlighting a missionary or organization that is supported by New Life. We encourage you to be praying for them and also learning more about how God is working through them in their area of ministry.
The Fraher Family will be visiting New Life on September 22 and sharing about their ministry during our worship services.
