This Week at New Life

Worship Services - 8:30am and 11:00am

Nursery care for children 0-2 is available during the 11:00 service.

Children’s Church for ages 3-5 is available during the sermon portion of the 11:00 service.

You might be tempted to think that the historical events (Jews being liberated from Egypt, the parting of the Red Sea, wandering in the wilderness, giving of the Ten Commandments, God dwelling with his people in the tabernacle) that took place in Exodus have nothing to say to those of us living in our day and time. Don’t give into that temptation! Every single page of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, is relevant for our everyday life! In the book of Exodus we will explore themes like: the fiery holiness of God, where we can find true freedom, deliverance from sin and slavery, the presence of God, the problem of idolatry, and most importantly we will see that Jesus is the greater Moses and he is the only One that gives us the freedom we desperately need. We are praying that this sermon series through the amazing book of Exodus deepens your knowledge, and your affection, for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Here are two short videos that give an overview of the Book of Exodus:

We have Exodus overview resources available on the tables as you enter the sanctuary.

Sunday School for all ages at 10:00

Islam.

You can hardly listen to a news report without hearing about Muslim involvement in world affairs. Animosity and hatred of the Jews, Religion of Peace, Jihad, Sharia, Great Satan, Little Satan, what does all of this mean and what is a Christian to make of it all?

In his book and video series, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, author and apologist Nabeel Qureshi takes viewers deep into apologetics and evangelism among Muslims through powerful storytelling and personal experience.  He explores Muslim culture, the most common Muslim objections to Christianity, and the core doctrines upon which Islam stands or falls.

Qureshi, a Pakistani-American evangelical Christian apologist raised by a devout Ahmadi family, converted to Christianity from Ahmadiyya Islam as a university student following several years of debate with a Christian friend.

Join us as we learn more about Islam and more importantly, why Christianity is the only way to peace with God.

Join us on Sunday morning to pray over our worship services!

Connection Cards

We have Connection Cards available on the backs of the chairs in the sanctuary. Guests can fill them out and take them to the Info Center for a free gift. Anyone can use them to submit prayer requests, request more information about ministries, update personal contact information, ask a question, or give feedback. Cards can be dropped into the offering boxes at the entrances to the sanctuary.

  • The background of the EFCA and New Life Church

  • The 10 points in our statement of faith

  • How to get plugged into serving at New Life

  • How to take the next step on the Discipleship Pathway

This class is required for membership at New Life, but is also good for anyone wanting to learn more about the church.

We invite you to come to Room 209 between the worship services March 3-24!

Recommended for Membership

The New Life elders are recommending Noah Wallenmeyer and Dave & Brenda Ingalls for membership. In following our church constitution, their names will be posted here for two weeks and then they will be welcomed into membership. If you are wondering how membership works, you can read what our church constitution says about it here. The Next Steps Class is required for membership - see above…

Missions Trip Opportunity

Steve Austvold (Mission’s Mobilizer with the Northern Plains District of the EFCA) is leading another crisis response team trip to Lake Charles, LA April 28-May 4. This will be the final trip to this area as ReachGlobal is closing up their site there soon. You would be serving alongside others from EFCA churches in our area. Check out the video to hear Michaelle & Jomi tell about their trip in 2021. You can find more information through the button below.

If you or your child/teen would like to be baptized on Easter Sunday, let us know!

You can mark “Baptism” on your Connection Card, call the church office (886-1977), or send an email to Lezlie: lezliee@newlifeefree.org.

THERE IS NO OTHER GOSPEL!

This year the youth will be studying two important letters that Paul wrote, Galatians and Ephesians. Both of these letters are foundational to understanding that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, and in Christ alone. Not only do they explain how we are made right with God, but both Books are so practical in teaching us how to live the Christian life, because we are now “in Christ”. You will be surprised at how clearly they speak into our culture today.

We end each youth evening with snacks for the students. It’s a fun time to hang out and get to know each other. Parents and others in our church family have been great about baking or purchasing snacks for us - if you’d like to sign up to bring the snack one evening, you can use the button below.

Each month, we will be highlighting a missionary or organization that is supported by New Life. We encourage you to be praying for them and also learning more about how God is working through them in their area of ministry.
