This Week at New Life

Sunday, April 2, 2023

In the Gospel of John we are going to go in-depth and look at the single most amazing human (God-man) to ever walk the face of this earth, Jesus Christ. Throughout this study in John we are going to be encouraged, shocked, convicted, and left with a deep sense of awe in regards to Jesus of Nazareth. The deepest yearnings of our soul will only be satisfied by the truths that we find in this book. Invite your family, friends, colleagues and join us as we gaze intently at the One who created the world and yet loved us enough to die for us.

Worship Services - 9:00am and 11:00am

Nursery care for children 0-2 is available. Children’s Church for kids age 3-5.

Sunday School for all ages | 10:15-11:00am

Adult Sunday School Class

February 19 - April 16

Our American culture is working overtime to shape the way that we think, feel, and live when it comes to our sexuality. Which means that the very worst thing the church can do is to remain silent about sex, same-sex attraction, transgenderism, porn, purity culture, and the temptations that we all face each and every day. It has been said that the more religious a family is the less likely they are to talk about sex in the home. This needs to change in the home and in the church! When it comes to this class we want you to bring your questions. We want you to bring your friends. Together we will discover just how incredibly relevant God’s Word is when it comes to addressing all these topics. Pastor Michael will be leading this 8 week class and it all gets started on Sunday, Feb 19th, 10:15 AM. Nursery is available and there are Sunday School classes for all of your children. Hope to see you there!

Celebrate Recovery Step Study for Women

What is a Step Study? A Step Study is a personal journey through each of the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery in a confidential group led by a facilitator who has completed a study. The step study is where we get into the heart of the program and true healing from life's' hurts, hang-ups, and habits occur. A Step Study is a long-term commitment, but will change your life. When the group has completed the first Participant Guide, the group is closed to new people.

Participant Guide #1 - Stepping Out Of Denial

Participant Guide #2 - Taking An Honest And Spiritual Inventory

Participant Guide #3 - Getting Right With God

Participant Guide #4 - Growing In Christ

Many think that recovery is only for those with alcohol or drug problems. The truth is that only about one-third of those attending Celebrate Recovery are dealing with chemical dependencies. Whether the struggle is emotional, financial, relational, or chemical, there is hope. Celebrate Recovery offers a way to move forward…beyond hurts, habits and hang-ups…by offering the tools needed to experience emotional health and peace in the midst of life’s stresses.

Zoom Meetings

Fridays, 1:30-3:00pm, beginning May 5

Please contact Dana Niemann if you have any questions, or if you would like to join the study - dana.niemann@yahoo.com or 605 237-3007.

Celebrate recovery requires all zoom meeting to maintain the same level of privacy for members as an in-person meeting. We ask that you have headphones of some sort so that anyone else in your home cannot overhear what other members are sharing. If you join we also ask that you do not share other group members identities. This preserves each member’s anonymity and confidentiality.

If you are a follower of Christ, God wants to use you to bless those around you. We talked about practical ways to do this in our previous Sunday School class and want to continue to provide resources and ideas for you. Stop by the display across from the nursery to find book recommendations and articles!

Opportunity to serve our Youth…

Each Wednesday we end our youth group evening with a snack and time to hang out together after their small group time. People from our New Life family have been providing snack for us - either homemade or picked up at a store. The students really enjoy this time! If you would like to bring a snack you can sign up using the button below (the sign up is near the bottom of the page), or call the church office (886-1977) and we can help you get signed up.
