Uncomfortable Church - Week 5, Pastor Michael
Most of us have an idea about what the perfect church is. Sometimes we can romanticize the early church and forget all the trials and difficulties they experienced. This sermon series will be a challenge to embrace the truth that many times we grow spiritually when we get out of our comfort zone. This 5 week series will be calling us into deeper relationships and community. It will challenge our consumeristic attitude toward the church and encourage us to roll up our sleeves and get involved on a deeper level. We may be pleasantly surprised when we get out of our comfort zone, step out in faith, that we once again we experience the joy of the Lord.
Fall Kick-off | Sunday, September 13, 2020
New Service Times & Ministry Fair
New Sermon Series starts 9/13
Reigniting Your Spiritual Life: Five Words That Lead To Greater Joy in Christ
What would it take to regain your passion for God? Deep inside do you have the nagging thought that there must be more to your Christian faith than what you are currently experiencing? What are some of the clues we find in the Word of God that will help us to rekindle our first love for God? During this 5 week series we will look at five words that will help us move out of our spiritual doldrums and into a vibrant walk with Christ. Don’t miss it!
We encourage you to fill out the online Friendship Register when you worship with us online or in person. You can share prayer requests, ask questions about our ministries, or just let us know that you’d like someone to contact you.

Deeply Rooted in God’s Word Together
From June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021 we will be focused on intentionally setting aside time to read God’s Word. We have some tools for you as well as ways to let us know what you've been reading so we can track our progress as a church family. We'd like read 52,000 chapters this year!
We have a basket for completed cards in the foyer. You can also pick up a new cards there. If you’ve been letting us know how many chapters you’re reading through our online form, we don’t need the cards back - we don’t want to count the chapters twice! But if you haven’t told us yet, we really want to record your numbers so we can reach our goal of 52,000!
You can track any chapters that you read. If you aren’t sure where to start, we have resources to help on our website.

WEEKLY MISSIONS PRAYER FOCUS
Arlyn & Marcy Nies
Although we have not been traveling for Awana nor will we be in the near future, the ministry is continuing. We have spent the summer preparing online training for both new and veteran leaders. Our missionaries are doing a great job conducting these events. Please pray that ALL leaders will desire to be better equipped to minister even more effectively with the young people the Lord brings to them.
Pray for churches as they start the club year differently. We are so thrilled to see the flexibility and creativity that so many leaders have shown because they don't want to miss an opportunity to minister to the children. Please pray for our Awana leadership as they make decisions. They desire to be like the men of Issachar who "understood the times and knew what to do."
Praise the Lord with us for many new churches as they use Awana to reach and disciple their community of children. We have been healthy and enjoyed some time with family and friends. Ministry continues to be both challenging and fulfilling.
