In the Gospel of John we are going to go in-depth and look at the single most amazing human (God-man) to ever walk the face of this earth, Jesus Christ. Throughout this study in John we are going to be encouraged, shocked, convicted, and left with a deep sense of awe in regards to Jesus of Nazareth. The deepest yearnings of our soul will only be satisfied by the truths that we find in this book. Invite your family, friends, colleagues and join us as we gaze intently at the One who created the world and yet loved us enough to die for us.
Worship Services - 9:00am and 11:00am
Nursery care for children 0-2 is available. Children’s Church for kids age 3-5
It’s not too late to bring a Friend, Relative, Acquaintance, Neighbor, or Co-worker to The Bridge Course! We’ve had two sessions with wonderful food and great discussion times - but newcomers are welcome anytime. Please register so we can be prepared with the right amount of food and childcare help.
Sunday School for all ages | 10:15-11:00am
New Adult Sunday School Class begins Sunday (April 23).
Discover ordinary ways to communicate God’s love and the message of salvation - naturally.
Every follower of Jesus has a sincere desire to share God’s love with others. We want to tell friends and family about who Jesus is, what he means to us, and all he has done for us. But where do we start?
The Organic Outreach study will help you shape a personal approach to passing on the good news of Jesus in natural ways. This is not a system or a program. It’s a collection of biblical practices that you can incorporate into your life starting today. You can begin right where God has placed you. You can share the love and message of Jesus in a manner that fits exactly how God has wired you.
Be prepared for summer and the extra interactions with family, friends, and neighbors!
Connection Cards
We have Connection Cards available on the backs of the chairs in the sanctuary. Guests can fill them out and take them to the Info Center for a free gift. Anyone can use them to submit prayer requests, request more information about ministries, update personal contact information, ask a question, or give feedback. Cards can be dropped into the offering boxes at the entrances to the sanctuary.

Youth Group Senior Honors Night
WEDNESDAY, MAY 17 AT 6:30PM
Each year our youth group celebrates with the graduating seniors on the last youth night of the school year. We’ll have a meal, worship, and a special guest speaker. Anyone in our church family is welcome to attend, as well as family and friends of our seniors.
Each month, we will be highlighting a missionary or organization that is supported by New Life. We encourage you to be praying for them and also learning more about how God is working through them in their area of ministry.
New Members
This week we welcome Tony & Jackie Jacobson as members of New Life Church!
Recommended for Membership
The New Life elders are recommending Joshua & Allison Humburg and Carol Spitzer for membership. In following our church constitution, their names will be posted here for two weeks and then they will be welcomed into membership.
If you are wondering how membership works, you can read what our church constitution says about it here. The Next Steps Class is required for membership and we typically hold two series of classes each year. We just finished a series of classes in March and the next series will most likely be in the fall. We’ll announce the dates/times here in the digital bulletin when we schedule the classes.
Part of New Life’s Vision is to support and develop Haven Center, Watertown’s new pregnancy resource center. Haven Center’s mission is to cultivate a community where those faced with an unplanned pregnancy are equipped to choose life. They exist to treat individuals facing an unplanned pregnancy with compassion in a welcoming and confidential environment. Their goal is to provide accurate information so an informed decision, guided by truth, is able to be made. Below is a video of the testimony of a young girl that was impacted in a great way by a pregnancy center (Option 1 in Brookings). This video will give you an idea of what Haven Center is all about and what it is trying to accomplish. We are going to give you an opportunity to give financially to the Haven Center on April 23rd and April 30th in church. Through Haven Center we have the opportunity to save lives and share the gospel with those who are in desperate need of hope! To learn more about Haven Center you can follow them on Facebook or go to their website at havencentersd.org.
If you are a follower of Christ, God wants to use you to bless those around you. We talked about practical ways to do this in our previous Sunday School class and want to continue to provide resources and ideas for you. Stop by the display across from the nursery to find book recommendations and articles!
Child Dedication
We are planning to have a time of Child Dedication during our Worship Services on May 14 (Mother’s Day). If your family would like to participate or if you have questions about Child Dedication, contact Lezlie (886-1977 or lezliee@newlifeefree.org). You can also mark “Child Dedication” on the Connection Card and we will contact you.
Celebrate Recovery Step Study for Women
What is a Step Study? A Step Study is a personal journey through each of the 12 Steps of Celebrate Recovery in a confidential group led by a facilitator who has completed a study. The step study is where we get into the heart of the program and true healing from life's' hurts, hang-ups, and habits occur. A Step Study is a long-term commitment, but will change your life. When the group has completed the first Participant Guide, the group is closed to new people.
Participant Guide #1 - Stepping Out Of Denial
Participant Guide #2 - Taking An Honest And Spiritual Inventory
Participant Guide #3 - Getting Right With God
Participant Guide #4 - Growing In Christ
Many think that recovery is only for those with alcohol or drug problems. The truth is that only about one-third of those attending Celebrate Recovery are dealing with chemical dependencies. Whether the struggle is emotional, financial, relational, or chemical, there is hope. Celebrate Recovery offers a way to move forward…beyond hurts, habits and hang-ups…by offering the tools needed to experience emotional health and peace in the midst of life’s stresses.
Zoom Meetings
Fridays, 1:30-3:00pm, beginning May 5
Please contact Dana Niemann if you have any questions, or if you would like to join the study - dana.niemann@yahoo.com or 605 237-3007.
Celebrate recovery requires all zoom meeting to maintain the same level of privacy for members as an in-person meeting. We ask that you have headphones of some sort so that anyone else in your home cannot overhear what other members are sharing. If you join we also ask that you do not share other group members identities. This preserves each member’s anonymity and confidentiality.
