In the Gospel of John we are going to go in-depth and look at the single most amazing human (God-man) to ever walk the face of this earth, Jesus Christ. Throughout this study in John we are going to be encouraged, shocked, convicted, and left with a deep sense of awe in regards to Jesus of Nazareth. The deepest yearnings of our soul will only be satisfied by the truths that we find in this book. This sermon series will begin on Sunday, September 18. Invite your family, friends, colleagues and join us as we gaze intently at the One who created the world and yet loved us enough to die for us.
Sunday Worship Services at 9:00am & 11:00am
Nursery care for children 0-2 is available all morning. Children’s Church is offered during the 11:00 service for kids age 3-5.
Sunday School for all ages | 10:15-11:00am
“Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart… ”
Last Spring Pastor Michael led us through a study in our adult Sunday school class about the dangers of Progressive Christianity. It was disturbing, to say the least, yet served as a wakeup call for the church to remain vigilant and faithful to the Word of God. All around us we witness what happens when a person or society abandons the authority of the scriptures and replaces it with a postmodern, “anything goes” spirituality. I’m convinced more than ever that we need to become a people of the Book, God’s inspired, infallible book, the Bible!
Join us each Sunday this fall as we gather to learn:
What it means when we say that the Bible is inspired and inerrant.
How people preserved the text of the Bible over the centuries. Can the process be trusted?
What is the canon of scripture and why some books were chosen and others rejected?
What about the Apocrypha and the Dead Sea Scrolls?
We’ll get to know some of the “Church Fathers” and other key figures in church history and the role they played in helping us have the Bible in our own English language.
Most importantly we will learn how to truly study, or as Jeremiah says, how to eat your Bible!
Connection Cards
We have Connection Cards available on the backs of the chairs in the sanctuary. Guests can fill them out and take them to the Info Center for a free gift. Anyone can use them to submit prayer requests, request more information about ministries, update personal contact information, ask a question, or give feedback. Cards can be dropped into the offering boxes at the entrances to the sanctuary.

Women’s Bible Study starting this fall…
Mondays | 7:00-8:15pm | beginning Oct 3 | on Zoom
We will begin the book of Acts this fall!! Our reading schedule will begin September 27 and our first discussion group will meet via zoom on Oct 3. Our youth will also be studying the book of Acts this school year. Although we will be behind them by about a month, this should provide some awesome discussion opportunities for the moms and grandmas of those youth. As you talk about what you're learning with your student, it will provide recall and reinforcement for what Pastor Billy has taught them.
We will study one chapter per week - reading it repeatedly and jotting down questions and comments that you want to discuss. Don't worry if you can't make all the zoom meetings, as long as you're following the reading schedule, you can jump in whenever it works for you.
I have been using this study method for a while, and I love it! This style of study was designed for those who are busy and have little time for homework. There are no study guides to fill in, no videos to watch, and no travel time. Just you and your Bible!
Contact Dana N (dana.niemann@yahoo.com, 605-237-3007) or Dawn S (dawnmstee@gmail.com) for more information and to get the Zoom link.
Saturday, October 8, 2022 | 9am - 3pm | at New Life Church

Upcoming Prayer Opportunities…
Are you bound up in shame and guilt or do you know someone who is? Have you been abused or mistreated? Come learn how to find hope to be set free. No longer be imprisoned and a victim, but be set free to walk in the way of wisdom and power.
Dr. Donna Hart will be joining us live via video.
Donna Hart, PhD, has been counseling in greater Chicago for more than 15 years and is a counselor at Biblical Counseling Center in Arlington Heights, IL. She also enjoys being an adjunct professor in the adult undergraduate department at Trinity International University. Her education includes a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a PhD in biblical counseling from Trinity Seminary.
Opportunity to serve our Youth…
The Youth Group will start their regular Wednesday evening meetings on September 7. Each week we end the evening with a snack and time to hang out together after their small group time. People from our New Life family have been providing snack for us - either homemade or picked up at a store. The students really enjoy this time! If you would like to bring a snack you can sign up using the button below (the sign up is near the bottom of the page), or call the church office (886-1977) and we can help you get signed up.
