Daniel 1 | Part 2 - Life in Exile

Daniel may just be one of the most relevant books of the bible that we can read today. America is experiencing a post-Christian culture which means we have much to learn from a man like Daniel who lived in the Babylonian Empire. How do we live as followers of Jesus Christ as exiles who are longing for their true homeland? Other themes in this fascinating book include the end times and the Second Coming of Jesus.

"And behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom." (Daniel 7:13-14 ESV).

Join us as we dig into this fascinating book!

Our nursery is open!

We’ve made plans for additional safety and cleaning procedures and we look forward to welcoming children age 0-2 into our nursery area during both services and our Sunday School hour.

SERVICE TIMES.jpg

We encourage you to fill out the online Friendship Register when you worship with us online or in person. You can share prayer requests, ask questions about our ministries, or just let us know that you’d like someone to contact you.

Missions Prayer Focus

Steve and Kathy Austvold, EFCA Mission Mobilizers

  • Praise God that both of us recovered from covid-19 over Thanksgiving break and we are back into churches almost weekly for January. We are praising God for the opportunities for presenting reach Global Crisis Response teams and Global Fingerprints with good responses.

  • We ask for prayers for more sponsors for children through Global Fingerprints.

  • Please pray for the planning of a second Reachglobal Crisis Response team in early March for Lake Charles Louisiana. Pray for the right people to sign up and that our team may be a light for Christ as we serve there.

  • We asked for prayer for our niece Savannah who is preparing for long-term mission service training in Mexico. We praise God and rejoice and how she is so willing to serve the Lord in hard places.

We are excited to share that our members overwhelmingly voted to confirm Billy Evans as our Associate Pastor of Youth and Family Ministry. Pastor Michael called Billy yesterday to officially offer him the position and he accepted!

Billy and Becky are making plans to sell their house and then they will be ready to relocate to Watertown. Please be praying for them during this transition. Pray that their home would sell quickly and for wisdom in all of the big and small decisions that come with a move halfway across the country.

Deeply Rooted in God’s Word Together

From June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021 we will be focused on intentionally setting aside time to read God’s Word. We have some tools for you as well as ways to let us know what you've been reading so we can track our progress as a church family. We'd like to read 52,000 chapters this year!

We have reading cards for February-March!

You can pick up reading plan cards in the foyer. We also have a basket for completed cards. If you’ve been letting us know how many chapters you’re reading through our online form, we don’t need the cards back - we don’t want to count the chapters twice. But if you haven’t told us yet, we really want to record your numbers so we can reach our goal of 52,000!

You can track any chapters that you read. If you aren’t sure where to start, we have resources to help on our website.
