Daniel 12 | Living in the End Times
Daniel may just be one of the most relevant books of the bible that we can read today. America is experiencing a post-Christian culture which means we have much to learn from a man like Daniel who lived in the Babylonian Empire. How do we live as followers of Jesus Christ as exiles who are longing for their true homeland? Other themes in this fascinating book include the end times and the Second Coming of Jesus.
"And behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom." (Daniel 7:13-14 ESV).
Nursery care for children 0-2 is available all morning. Children’s Church is offered during the 11:00 service for kids age 3-5.
What’s Coming after the Daniel Series?
Join us on Sunday, May 23 as we talk about the importance of having a Discipleship Pathway in the church. What is the process for making disciples of Jesus Christ as a church? How do all of our ministries work together so that people are becoming more like Jesus? This sermon will both challenge and inspire each one of us to become passionate disciples of Jesus Christ and fishers of men!
Sunday, May 30 we will begin preaching through the fascinating book of 1 Corinthians. Even in the early church there were all kinds of issues, problems, distractions and sinful behaviors. Paul wrote 1 Corinthians to bring spiritual renewal to a church that was in desperate need of it. Week in and week out we will find this book to be incredibly relevant for our day and time. We will learn what it means to be a healthy, gospel-centered, unified Church that makes a difference in the six counties all around us. Hope you and your family will join us!
We encourage you to fill out the online Friendship Register when you worship with us online or in person. You can share prayer requests, ask questions about our ministries, or just let us know that you’d like someone to contact you.

Deeply Rooted in God’s Word Together
From June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021 we will be focused on intentionally setting aside time to read God’s Word. We have some tools for you as well as ways to let us know what you've been reading so we can track our progress as a church family. We'd like to read 52,000 chapters this year!
We have reading cards for April-May!
You can pick up reading plan cards in the foyer. We also have a basket for completed cards. If you’ve been letting us know how many chapters you’re reading through our online form, we don’t need the cards back - we don’t want to count the chapters twice. But if you haven’t told us yet, we really want to record your numbers so we can reach our goal of 52,000!
Women’s Weekly Zoom Meeting
A group of women will be having a weekly Zoom meeting on Monday evenings (7:30-8:30pm) to discuss the Bible Reading on the plan. If you’d like to join in you can contact Dawn S. (dawnmstee@gmail.com) or Dana N. (dana.niemann@yahoo.com) to get the Zoom invite.
If you would like to nominate someone to serve as a New Life Elder, please visit www.newlifeefree.org/elders or pick up a paper form at the Info Center.
We need to have the nominations by June 27.
Missions Prayer Focus
Praise for a new staff family who arrived in Alaska in February and a new pre-field couple whom Hannah is helping to raise support to come serve with MARC. Thank God for how He has grown their staff with more volunteers.
Praise that an annual spring trip to 4 villages for the Carry the Cure team will be happening. Pray for safe flights.
Pray that more opportunities will open up for ministry events in rural Alaska this summer and that access to the villages will be fully restored.
Pray for the health of the MARC staff. Many days they have limited staff working at the hangar.
Praise that their family has been fairly healthy. Praise that their son, James, has been having longer stretches between his eczema flare-ups from his allergies. Pray for healing for him.
Praise that God provided two damaged airplane wings that were donated from two separate individuals to replace a cracked wing on a Piper Cherokee 6 missionary aircraft. Pray for God's wisdom as they assemble one good wing from the two damaged wings so that the aircraft can be airworthy again. Pray also for God's wisdom as they complete other aircraft projects as well.
